Motion is the sexiest lie in leadership.
Because motion feels real. Your body is moving, your calendar is full, and energy is being spent. You can feel the weight of it.
Physics even tells us: an object in motion stays in motion. So you keep moving.
Faster, harder, longer. More, more, more.
But here's what we forget — motion is not momentum.
Momentum requires direction, force, intent.
Motion is just energy spilling out.
You can run in circles forever and call it progress, but nothing changes.
High performers get trapped right here. You work 12-hour days, drowning in meetings. You keep tweaking the thing. It feels like work, but it's actually motion without momentum.
And the cost? Energy burns out. Time disappears. You confuse exhaustion with progress.
And your nervous system learns the loop: move more → achieve less → repeat.
I've lived this in corporate and in coaching rooms. Brilliant people spinning in motion, wondering why they're still stuck.
The truth is: motion is survival.
Momentum is leadership.
